Rutgers 4‑H STEM Ambassadors Kick off Camp (Sleep-Away Camp)
Calling all adventurous 8th–9th graders!
The Rutgers 4‑H STEM Ambassador Program for urban youth will be held at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences at Rutgers. From July 8–12, sixty high school students from Elizabeth, Newark, New Brunswick, Passaic, Paterson, Trenton, Rahway, and Atlantic City will participate in several hands-on activities as they explore biochemistry, biotechnology, marine and environmental sciences, physics, and engineering alongside a number of Rutgers faculty from these and other disciplines.
Farm Camp
The Montclair History Center, Rutgers Cooperative Extension 4-H, and Montclair Community Farms partner each year to host a fun, nature and history-filled camp for youth to learn about our past and where our food comes from.
Farm Camp supports youth development by promoting a positive interest in nature, historical living, and agriculture. Our mission is to provide the best camp experience for youth, while also providing a beneficial learning experience about food, animals, our earth, and its agricultural past. Our campers have the chance to be in the garden each day and participate in activities related to each age level’s theme.
Campers will spend their days on-site at 108 and 110 Orange Road. Here, they will have access to the Montclair History Center, Montclair Community Farm, historic houses, and large open spaces!

Discover Tradition & Adventure at NJ 4-H Camp: Create lasting memories for your child this summer!
Since 1951, NJ 4-H Camp has offered kids a chance to unplug, connect with nature, and make lifelong friends. Our classic camp experience focuses on fun, exploration, and personal growth.
