Rutgers Urban Gardening Program
The Rutgers Urban Gardening Program motivates low-income families and individuals residing in Newark and surrounding areas to grow, utilize, and preserve vegetables using backyards, containers, and community garden plots. Gardens covering acres of former city waste land are producing vegetables and other plants for food.
